The Department of Tax & Collections Email Notification Service is a free service provided by the County of Santa Clara (County), and is solely intended as an aid to remind participants to pay secured property taxes timely and to provide other property tax-related information of general interest. 
Taxpayers are not relieved of the responsibility of timely payment of property taxes as a result of any failure of the County to provide reminder notices. 
Penalties for delinquent payments will be imposed regardless of the taxpayer's subscription to this service or any failure of this service. This service is provided without warranty or representation of any kind to the requester. 
The requester assumes all risk and responsibility for the information provided by the County. 
The County shall not be liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by the use of this service or the failure of the service to provide timely response or even the total failure of the service to provide any response at all, whether or not the County is at fault.
Storage of contact information, including but not limited to names, telephone numbers, and email addresses in the DTAC request database may constitute a public record which may be subject to disclosure under the California Public Records Act, Government Code Section 6250.
